We’re after two account directors for a couple of pretty exciting recruitment positions, heading up shiny new divisions and building something from scratch. One will focus on our front-end work, and the other on our graduate division.

Only, we don’t do things like other recruitment agencies, so we’re not looking for just any recruitment account director. (That would be dull. We’re not dull.)

RecWorks is a unique company which blends recruitment with communities and social networks. Yes, our revenue is generated from recruitment, but 50% of what we do involves building and maintaining large technical communities. Through this approach we build genuine long term relationships with our candidates and clients to achieve an unprecedented depth and breadth of mutual understanding.

So who are we looking for?

You’ll have three plus years’ experience, and be comfortable at a senior level. You may have worked in sales, professional services or any number of things. We deal with tech-based jobs, but you don’t have to be overly techy (though an interest beyond the latest mobile phone can’t hurt your case). You do on the other hand have to be good at building relationships, communicating, closing a deal, following up leads, striking rapport, spotting an opportunity and leading by example. Think confident, persuasive and hands-on, someone who can motivate others, have a bit of presence about them, and not shy away from awkward conversations.

How you go about building your business will be largely up to you, though you’ll definitely need to be happy picking up the phone and developing leads. Whichever division you are in, you’ll be using your influencing skills and general charm to heat up warmish possibilities into something more definite. You’ll need to create your own opportunities, as well as making the most of the resources we have to offer. There’s massive potential to make your mark here, and it’s a lucrative place to be if you’ve got a knack for it.
