Gleeson are delighted to be working with a successful, global software business based in Berkshire to find a Financial Analyst. This is a temp to perm opportunity which requires an immediate start to allow a comprehensive handover with the current incumbent of the position.
The Financial Analyst position is one of the support roles responsible for Finance operations / shared services covering the UK businesses. Reporting to the UK Financial Controller, the Financial Analyst’s responsibilities include providing support to the UK Financial Controller and the Financial Accountants in the following areas: Management, Financial and Statutory Reporting (UK & US GAAP), General Accounting, Tax and Treasury, Audit incl Sabanes-Oxley (SOX).
The role requires a technically skilled individual with a keen eye for detail, a strong analytical mind-set, a focus on quality, efficiency and change management as the UK finance and business operations continue to consolidate and streamline. This is a role requiring relationships with colleagues throughout the business.
The role will support Solera’s UK efforts to consolidate and streamline UK Finance operations onto single UK systems for: Accounting (Navision), Expenses, Purchase Orders and a single chart of accounts with a strong supporting role for other UK systems alignment incl one UK system for: HR, payroll, CRM, Billing as well as a new FP&A system for planning, scenario modelling and project tracking – reducing the reliance on excel.
To be successful in this role, this individual must a have methodical, analytical approach and be able to work to challenging deadlines whilst remaining flexible to the needs of the business. They must be able to demonstrate a proactive attitude and always take the initiative in ensuring project outputs are delivered on time and to the expected quality. They will enjoy working in a strong cross-discipline team in a Software/Technology environment focused on delivery of robust, high quality, value adding solutions to customers.
The successful candidate will demonstrate strong technical skills and the drive and ability to enhance their knowledge and skills and to leverage these to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the Finance team.

Drive Quality Output
To support the implementation of UK finance shared service operations which acts as the first line of defence, delivers excellence and efficiency in finance outputs across the UK and provides value added support to the UK businesses to achieve the revenue and EBITDA plans.
Support the delivery of Finance operations in line with the UK shared services proposal, whilst maintaining or improving Finance processes and reporting outputs. Specifically:
One UK organisation for Finance operations to deliver maximum synergies.
Single UK systems for Finance (Navision), incl migration of CAP from the current Sage system, Purchase orders, expenses
Maximise (capex) investment in software / system solutions to replace manual tasks.
Solution needs to be scalable.
Minimise complexity by reducing the number of active UK legal entities.
Maintain or improve timeliness and quality of all internal and external financial reporting and submissions whilst maintaining compliance with all relevant policies and procedures.

The successful candidate will be a ‘hands on’ qualified or part-qualified accountant with strong interpersonal and leadership skills with experience of working in a commercial environment in an international business with prior exposure to group reporting and tax issues. You will have operated at a similar level in a complex international environment with a demonstrated track record of delivering successful change projects and efficiency improvements.
Qualifications: Educated to degree level. Qualified or Part-Qualified Accountant. Relevant experience.
Knowledge: Previously worked in similar capacity ideally within an international organisation. Strong financial background. Experience of fast paced, dynamic environments. Knowledge of Finance systems and Microsoft Office applications.
