My client is looking for a Purchase Ledger / Accounts Payable Clerk to join their busy office in Central London

Main Duties & Responsibilities

To ensure that all allocated Payable costs are consistently paid to creditors within the given industry deadlines or contracted terms.
Ensure that supplier invoices and statements are fully reconciled to a consistently high standard.
To maintain regular communication with applicable buying teams, finance teams and suppliers to ensure that queries are resolved quickly and efficiently.
Matching Supplier invoices to relevant Bookings or PO’s within the ERP.
Maintenance of Supplier and data within the ERP.
Ensure payments are not called for specific clients where bookings are not vouched or spot matched.
Ensure that all payments are requested in line with Agency/Supplier contractual terms and passed to Payables Manager for authorisation.
Void Cheques or BACS payments on the ERP system where required.
Reconcile creditor statements on a weekly/monthly basis, recording finalised reconciliations.
Ensure all backup relating to payments is filed in accordance to company processes.
Where required, to assist other team members inputting invoices & reconciliations to ensure the team meets its deadlines.
Where required, posting of all Manual and urgent payments made through Banking Systems onto the ERP system.
File and prepare payment packages for scanning, where applicable.
Assist the Payable Manager in the preparation of month end reports.
Attend Supplier and Agency meetings where required.
Ensuring integrity of the Payables function in accordance to company policy.
Ad hoc projects as directed by the Payable Manager.
Candidate Spec

A working knowledge of accounts payable / purchase ledger within an International Organisation.
Strong Excel experience, preferably to pivot table, macro level.
