The Training Manager (Business Change) will work within the Business Change & Technology team, reporting to the Head of Business Change Programmes in this growing Telecoms company. This role will lead the Training function for business change and have day to day responsibility for the planning, designing, developing and delivering training to support the company’s business change programmes. The Training Manager will also be responsible for working with teams across the company to develop, build and deliver a training strategy and plan that meets the training needs of a growing and maturing organisation.

The successful candidate must relish the opportunity to be both hands on in the design, development and delivery of training in the organisation as well as delivering against the strategic and leadership requirements of this role.

Key Responsibilities

Responsible for the design, development and delivery of training required as part of agreed Business Change projects and programmes;
Carrying out Training Needs Analysis across the organisation;
Responsible for the management of all project and programme training using best practice training methodologies and approaches to drive successful training on time, to cost and quality ensuring delivery of training activities in line with project plans;
Working with the relevant project or programme manager, develop and manage Training Project Plans with Project Summary Documentation, Dependency Management, Risk & Issue Management, Stakeholder Management, Environment Management, Status Reporting;
Manage training project expenditure and value, ensuring focus on business benefit realisation;
Responsible for the day to day administration of the Learning Management System (LMS) including activities such as learner and department management, course enrolment, LMS reporting, supplier management, error/ fault logging and uploading of F2F and online course materials;
Responsible for the maintenance, improvement and evolution of the company’s eLearning courses and related assets;
Establish and maintain key performance indicators to measure effectiveness of learning programmes;
Management of the training environment, including working with IT and development teams to manage code deployment in line with release and training schedules, environment testing, issue/ bug management and data creation;
Working with relevant teams across the organisation to develop, build and deliver a training strategy and plan for role-specific and business change training that meets the needs of the organisation;
Support the planning, design, development and delivery of new joiner ad role specific training to support the effective and efficient on-boarding of new members;
Skills and Experience Required

Significant experience in managing complex business change training projects ideally with a telecoms, IT service or consulting company;
In depth experience of leading Training Needs Analysis and the development of fit for purpose strategies and plans;
Extensive experience of project sizing activities and performing large scale Training Needs Analysis;
Thorough understanding of the Training Lifecycle and project management methodologies, practices, stakeholders and activities;
Extensive experience in transforming complex information, raw data and technical materials received from Subject Matter Experts and Business Analysts into engaging training materials and course;
Experience in creating blended learning programmes including e-learning design and implementation;
Proven track record in training course design using a number of software programmes, including ideally Articulate Storyline;
Proven track record in confidently facilitating engaging training courses, face-to-face and online to large groups of learners (50+);
Extensive experience in delivering technical training courses on a variety of software programmes including bespoke CRMs, web portals. System experience should ideally include SalesForce;
Extensive experience in stakeholder engagement through to senior management level;
Preferred experience working internationally on training projects that require a modification to the training approach to accommodate country specific processes, local languages and preferred training delivery styles;
Experience carrying out performance assessments to determine the skills gaps between current and desired learner skill levels;
Extensive experience in evaluating the effectiveness of training programmes and learning outcome;
Excellent oral, written communication, organisational and facilitation skills;
Driven, energetic, robust and able to work independently without supervision;
Commercially orientated and able to manage relationships at a senior level;
Demonstrable experience in project management methodologies;
Experience managing and negotiating with third party suppliers would be an asset;
