My client based within the Peterborough area are looking for Distribution Supervisor to join their busy and growing team.
Communicate efficiently and effectively (with internal and external customers, suppliers, drivers, and other offices, as required by operational procedures.
Ensure service and profitability levels are developed / maintained in accordance with departmental targets / budgets.
Prioritise key tasks and work load to achieve best results with available resources within the department.
Prepare correct documentation to the Warehouse department for loading / off loading cargo to vehicles, in a timely manner
Perform and correctly implement General Administration, e.g. invoicing; filing; queries; claims; check costs in accordance with departmental requirements
Answer queries, complaints and solve operational problems as quickly and efficiently as possible by your team.
KPI reporting to customers and to management.
Plan and co-ordinate the incoming goods, storage and dispatch of items in a timely and efficient
manner to achieve your team objectives and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), as determined by
the Warehouse Manager.
Overall responsibility for all aspects of the effective supervision, training & development and
health, safety & welfare of your team.
To ensure effective, safe, accurate and timely stock management to include space allocation, stock
transfer and dealing with non-confirming product.
Management of third part offsite storage.
Working closely with the Purchasing department to ensure adequate stock levels.
Organising and ensuring accurate and periodic cycle counts and stock takes.
Be responsible for ensuring that the quality of the product and service within the Warehouse is
maintained at the highest possible standards for the customer.
Ensure quality procedures and team quality targets are strictly adhered to.
Implement the company’s Health and Safety Policy, ensuring safe working conditions and practices
within the Warehouse.
Represent the department on the Health & Safety Committee as required.
Any other reasonable duties which may be required by management from time to time.
Manage all aspects of stock management – Setting up Schedule, investigating and confirming all exception stock adjustment.
Restrict and Control stock
Prescribe best practice processes
Review stock holding and identify over stocked products.
