A great job opportunity has risen for a sous chef to join a dynamic kitchen at our client’s restaurant in Burgess Hill.
You’ll play a key role in the day-to-day running of the kitchen; cooking every meal from fresh ingredients and ensuring high quality meals whilst overseeing the kitchen all times alongside the head chef.
As part of your role as a sous chef, you’ll also:
*Plan, prioritise and organise a la carte, pre-orders, functions and buffet menus.
*Replace and run the whole kitchen in absence of the head chef.
*You will need to be passionate about cooking, hardworking and very reliable.
Having previous experience as a sous chef or head chef working in a busy restaurant of 100 covers + is essential, but knowledge around British meals is equally important as you will be cooking all meals from fresh ingredients to maintain high quality to all customers.
