For this Teaching Assistant role, my client school are looking for a confident Maths graduate who has already spent time in a role where they worked closely with children and earned at least a 2:2 in their degree. The school needs a graduate who has a natural desire to become a future star of teaching and have the drive to learn as much as possible from this experience. You should be able to ensure that your students are receiving enough encouragement to stay focussed and achieve well.
About the Role
As a Maths Teaching Assistant you will be working alongside the Head of Maths, coaching and mentoring GCSE and A-Level students. You will be given the chance to lead small groups of pupils of varying ability, helping struggling pupils reach their targets and accelerating the progress of those who are gifted and talented. You will receive dedicated support from a Class Teacher who will be there to support you from your first day. As a Maths Teaching Assistant you will be creating new lessons plans and assist teachers by preparing the classroom for the next lesson.
