The Education Network are working closely with a Special Needs School in Birmingham who require a positive and committed Teaching Assistant. The school in question contains pupils ranging from 5 – 11 years of age, with a variety of special needs. These include autistic spectrum condition, speech and language and moderate to severe learning difficulties. The successful candidate will be expected to work mainly with KS2 students, but may also be required to work in KS1 if needs be and must:
The school would prefer a candidate with some relevant SEN experience, but this is not essential and any candidate who has a positive attitude and understands child development will be considered.
You will be:-
A Teaching Assistant – NVQ Level 3 or Degree in child related studies
Used to working in an SEND setting
Able to provide support on a 1-2-1 or small group basis
Happy to get involved in all aspects of supporting children with SEND
