The Education Network are currently recruiting for learning support mentors who are able to work on both a one to one basis and in group sessions with school pupils who have special educational needs.
The role is based in Walsall and is an ongoing, long term opportunity which is due to commence as soon as possible. The ideal applicant will have relevant experience working with young children who have challenging behaviour, social and emotional difficulties. The pupils will need significant encouragement to help them engage in lessons so the ability to incorporate pupil interests into subjects will be vital to promote interest in more difficult subjects. Any relevant qualifications such as Team Teach will be viewed as a positive.
You will be:-
Used to working in an SEND setting
Able to provide support on a 1-2-1 or small group basis
Happy to get involved in all aspects of supporting children with SEND in the classroom
