Bid Co-ordinator – Chertsey Salary £25-30k

A fantastic opportunity now exists for 2 experienced Bid Co-ordinators to join a dynamic and fast paced Commercial Management Team in co-ordinating bids for the business. These roles will be based in Chertsey, Surrey and the successful candidates will be expected to travel throughout the UK and potentially Europe as and when required.

Skills Required

Demonstrable experience of co-ordinating and producing large and complex bid submissions and sales proposals. Outstanding grammatical, written English and numeracy skills with excellent attention to detail.

Experience of co-ordinating internal stakeholders through to successful output. Experience of co-ordinating virtual teams of people, including co-ordination of key bid stakeholder meetings.

Ability to manage resources to a bid plan and coordinate and keep track of a programme of activity through the setting, communication and management of clear milestones and deadlines with key bid stakeholders. Experience in a similar position.

Excellent Word skills, including creation of standard templates. Excellent Excel skills. Good Visio and MS Project skills. Experience of creating, administering and updating a SharePoint site.
The role:-

To co-ordinate bids, both New Business and After Sales, throughout the sales lifecycle, ensuring that bid documents are of a consistently high standard and are consistent, compelling and compliant, meeting all legal, commercial and technical requirements.

To work with Technical Sales in co-ordinating the overarching bid programme and resource management for a rolling twelve months. To work with Technical Sales in supporting the development of win themes and ensuring that the win themes are articulated in the bid;

To co-ordinate the bid process including the contracting process by working with New Business Sales and Account Managers in the identification and formation of bid teams, co-ordinating responsibilities and timescales for each element of the required response;

In conjunction with Technical Sales, to ensure that sales are supported and progressed through solution design and positioning prior to the commencement of a formal procurement process. To co-ordinate and maintain a high level programme plan for all opportunities scheduled for the Commercial team, and provide resource planning information to the business;

To ensure that each bid has a project plan that correlates with the ISO processes, and in particular. To co-ordinate the formal kick off meeting for all bids, ensuring responsibilities and timescales are documented and agreed and to ensure that the sales messages and approach are understood by all members of the team.

To ensure that all bids are co-ordinated through the appropriate gateway approvals prior to submission and ultimately contract. To co-ordinate bid process and to ensure that content is provided in a timely fashion and to escalate issues where appropriate.
