We are looking for Experienced Retail Store Managers to guide and coach the customer facing teams at our franchised M&S Simply Food stores located within busy train stations in Central London. Supported by Assistant Managers and Team Leaders, you can lead teams of up to 200 staff, managing the daily operations of a retail store, also be responsible for delivering operational and financial results, and high standards in customer service. You will work together with SSP and M&S to deliver brand standards and H&S and legal compliance as well as achieving financial targets and controlling operating costs within the store. Responsible for motivating and developing your team to deliver excellent customer service and a memorable customer experience, recruiting, training and managing performance, to deliver these results. To be successful in this role, you will need to demonstrate proven management experience in the following areas: * Brand standards: working within a similar branded retail environment, preferably food retail, with set standards and operating procedures, therefore will have examples of good audits and/or mystery shopper results. * Team management: having an inspirational and coaching management style, managing a large diverse team and have examples of motivating and developing your people, managing their performance where necessary and improving individual and overall team performance. * Financial management: accountable for profit and loss, driving sales and controlling costs as well as ensuring security and strict cash handling procedures are followed by the team, minimising risk and losses. * Customer Focus: anticipating customer needs and ensuring their satisfaction is your priority You will also have confident communication skills, able to set goals and targets with your team and ensure understanding and buy-in, whether in a 1-1 or group setting. * Also astute commercial skills, monitoring and analysing your store’s performance and planning ahead to continually improve on previous results. * Strengths in client and brand relationship building These are very high volume stores where you will need to work at pace and think on your feet, reacting swiftly to resolve any issues and keep the operation running smoothly Stores are open 24 hours, 7 days a week – Flexibility to work shifts including earlies, lates and weekends, should be a consideration when applying for this role.
