As a growing privately-owned commercial insurance brokerage trading since 1994, we are looking for an account executive that can maintain and grow the existing client base to help drive the company forward.

Working closely with the Managing Director in order to service both new and existing clients, the successful candidate will need to have a proven track record of successfully converting new business enquiries and client retention.

The role will be both office-based and client facing with exposure to a wide range of commercial classes of business including; combined liability, commercial combined, motor fleet and package business.

Field visits will be required; therefore the successful candidate will need to have access to their own car and a full driving licence.

As part of a small team you should be well versed in working successfully in a similar environment, and flexible in your approach to work.

Communication
Excellent computer skills are a necessity as the successful candidate will need to use Microsoft Office, online quotation systems and a dedicated insurance software package on a daily basis. In summary, the role will involve: ·Providing support to secure and transact new business ·Responsible for renewals and retention of existing clients ·Servicing clients including mid-term adjustments ·External site / field visits where required ·Associated processes relative to the above tasks In summary, the successful candidate will need to have the following attributes: ·Able to work independently on their own workload ·Ability to multi-task ·Work effectively as part of a team and assisting colleagues ·Task focused and able to meet deadlines ·Commercial lines experience including liability, commercial combined, motor fleet, motor trade, SME package and professional indemnity ·Knowledge of the commercial insurance market including the products offered by respective insurers ·Skilled at using online / electronic quotation systems ·Experience of bespoke insurance software packages ·Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel & Word ·Ability to work to tight deadlines ·Problem-solving attitude ·Effective communicator with both clients and colleagues ·Cert CII or above desirable We have recently moved into new premises in a picturesque location just outside of Hampton-in-Arden, Solihull. The offices have excellent access to the major road networks with train and airport facilities also close by.
